The dispute for the TCR Brasil title remains undefined. This Saturday (25), Tiago Pernía won the first race of the fifth round, also valid for TCR South America at Autódromo Velocitta, in Mogi Guaçu (SP), while Raphael Reis and Leonel Pernía fought another chapter of the championship dispute, which will only be decided in Race 2. With mild weather and a completely dry track, the race started with Tiago Pernía taking advantage of the weak start by Nelson Piquet Jr. and Raphael Reis to move up to first place. Leonel Pernía, who is competing for the TCR Brasil title, also moved up to second.
Still on the first lap, Fabian Yannantuoni had a touch with Enrique Maglione and both lost several positions. Meanwhile, Raphael Reis sought to recover to catch Leonel Pernía again in the dispute for the Brazilian title. On the third lap, he was in fourth place, right behind Pedro Cardoso.
A few moments later, Cardoso and Pernía touched and Reis managed to get third place, but Pernía quickly retaliated. Cardoso managed to overtake again and returned to third place.
In the middle of the dispute, Erick Schotten went off track and hit one of the barriers hard, and the safety car was deployed.

The track was cleared with nine minutes still on the clock. Tiago Pernía remained in front, with Cardoso and Leonel Pernía right behind. Reis continued to pursue his main adversary.
With six minutes remaining in the race, Cardoso managed to get even closer to Tiago, maintaining a safe distance from Leonel.
The victory ultimately went to Tiago Pernía, with Pedro Cardoso and Leonel Pernía completing the podium. Raphael Reis finished in fourth place, postponing the title dispute to Race 2 in Mogi Guaçu, which will start at 2:10 PM this Sunday.
