The second free practice of the seventh stage of the TCR South America 2026 ended with Nelson Piquet Jr. in the lead this Saturday (12), in Concordia, Argentina. The Brazilian was the highlight of the session by recording 1min42s739, setting the best time of the day so far.

Piquet Jr. had Camilo Trappa as his main pursuer. The driver finished second, with 1min42s934, just 0.195 seconds behind the leader. Leonel Pernía appeared in third place, marking 1min43s080, while Néstor Girolami was right behind, with 1min43s091. The difference between the two was only 0.011 seconds.


After leading most of the first free practice, Tiago Pernía this time finished fifth. The Argentine recorded 1min43s328 and was ahead of Raphael Reis, who marked 1min43s733 to occupy sixth position. The Brazilian, vice-leader of the championship, ended the session among the main names on the leaderboard.

Joaquín Cafaro was also close to the leaders and finished seventh, with 1min43s780. Fabrício Pezzini was eighth, recording 1min43s818, while Fabian Yannantuoni appeared ninth, with 1min43s882. Gabriel Moura completed the top 10 by marking 1min44s237.
With the second free practice concluded, the TCR South America schedule in Concordia will have one more activity this Saturday. The qualifying session is scheduled for 16:05 and will be responsible for defining the starting positions for the stage races.
