Marcos Regadas had a cerebral weekend to climb in the Porsche Cup professional championship. The driver of Porsche #17 finished both races in the top ten, after a shortened journey in free practice.

This Sunday Regadas lined up in ninth and soon gained two positions before the safety car intervention.
Then the 2025 Sport class champion focused on defending against Matheus Comparatto at the restart and then followed the pace of Lucas Salles, who had been the second fastest in qualifying and had a car very well set up for the tight Mogi Guaçu circuit.
Thinking about the championship points, Regadas did not take unnecessary risks and, as the top six ended up not giving any openings in the final phase of the race, he finished in seventh.

The result crowned a double top 10 for the Maranhão native, who on Saturday had qualified the car 15th on the grid and finished ninth. As a consequence, he climbed to seventh place in the Carrera Cup standings, with 53 points earned in the first four races of the calendar.
Marcos Regadas’ next commitment is at the support event for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, an unprecedented destination for the Brazilian Porsche Cup, which races in France in June.

“Carrera is a professional category and I am always thinking about the championship, without taking unnecessary risks and avoiding crashes. We changed the car’s setup a lot for the second race and it improved significantly. We started to find the way. I was right behind a very fast guy, Lucas Salles, who qualified second and was second yesterday. So following him from start to finish showed us that we found the way for the car’s setup and leaves us excited for the next stages”
