“I knew I had four Boosts, I had to use them very well, very smartly. I knew Miguel had a bit more Boost to try and take a risk,” he told the broadcast after the race.
“I also imagined that from the middle of the race to the end of the race I would have difficulty with the rear tires, I had already been managing since the middle of the race, controlling the distance from Miguel a bit. I think it was one of the races where I had the most composure, I believe, with tire management, Boost, and also a super experienced guy like Miguel behind,” he concluded.
