Thiago Vivacqua secured the victory in race 2 of the Porsche Cup this Sunday (29) at Velocitta. This afternoon, the competitor made good use of pole position, held off Miguel Paludo, and crossed the finish line in first place.

The Porsche multi-champion tried throughout the race to take the lead, but had to settle for second. Jeff Giassi, championship leader Marçal Müller and Antonella Bassani complete the day’s podium.
Raijan Mascarello is the name of the driver who won in the Sport class, while Bruno Campos received the checkered flag first in the Rookie class.

In the second race of the weekend in Mogi Guaçu, there was a reversal of six positions to define the starting grid. As a result, Thiago Vivacqua took pole position, while leader Marçal Müller was sixth.
Lights out at the circuit and the pole-sitter managed to maintain first place, with Miguel Paludo in second, and Jeff Giassi, Antonella Bassani and Marçal in the top five positions.
And the start of the contest was already very busy further back. Alceu Feldmann Neto ended up spinning, with Leo Sanchez and Marco Billi getting stuck at the exit of turn 5 and, shortly after, causing the safety car to come out.
Restart authorized at Velocitta and Thiago managed to maintain first place, with Paludo and Giassi right behind. Meanwhile, on the outside, Müller managed to leave Antonella behind and took fourth place.

Further back, an incident involving Miguel Mariotti and Pipo Massa at turn 2. The drivers ended up in a tangle and spun, with the Rookie leader getting the worst of it, but both managed to return to the race.
In tenth place, Israel Salmen was the leader in the Sport class, while Bruno Campos, in 15th, led the Rookie pack – shortly after, Rodrigo Mello took over the Sport lead.
With 13 minutes to the checkered flag, Vivacqua was the leader with a 0s654 advantage over Paludo in second. Giassi, Müller and Bassani completed the top five positions.
Approaching the checkered flag, multi-champion Miguel tried to catch Thiago to take the lead. The competitor in car #7 had a Boost activation with just over 2 minutes left and was getting closer and closer to the leader.
It turns out Paludo activated the extra power button, but could not complete the overtake and had to stay in second place.
Paludo tried until the final meters, but the victory remained in the hands of Thiago Vivacqua, with Miguel, Giassi, Müller and Bassani completing the top five positions.
