The 2026 Porsche Cup season calendar had to undergo a change. This Wednesday (1), the category announced that it postponed the Sprint Challenge and Trophy round in Goiânia due to asphalt problems.

At the end of March, the racetrack was the stage for MotoGP’s return to Brazil after 22 years. However, during the weekend, the category faced problems with the asphalt which, on Saturday, had a hole and on Sunday, began to break apart – in fact, the race had to be shortened in the number of laps.
So, after the passage of the Motorcycle World Championship, adjustments began to host the next races scheduled at the circuit – the Porsche Cup was scheduled to race between April 25 and 26.

In a statement, then, the category explained the decision. Due to the problems with the asphalt, the repair time will be “longer than expected. Valuing the smooth running of activities and, above all, the safety of everyone involved, we chose to make this decision,” it wrote.
There is no new confirmed date yet, but the “category is already working to confirm as soon as possible,” it highlighted.
