The 2026 NASCAR Brazil season enters its final stretch with a different challenge for drivers and teams: the seventh stage of the championship, on September 19, will be held on the oval track of the Circuito dos Cristais, in Curvelo (MG). It will be the third time the category competes on the Minas Gerais circuit, all of them with Pirelli tires.

The oval track has very distinct characteristics compared to the mixed circuits traditionally used by NASCAR Brazil. With 1,250 meters in length and counterclockwise direction, the Circuito dos Cristais demands a high level of resistance and consistency from the tires, especially due to the more intense work on the right side of the car throughout the laps. For Pirelli, the stage represents another opportunity to put its tires to the test in one of the most particular configurations of national motorsport.
Pirelli brings to Minas Gerais the tires developed specifically for the national category. Built with the TH4 compound, the tires are produced at Pirelli’s factory in Campinas (SP) and were introduced this season.

“Curvelo is the only truly oval circuit we have on the Brazilian calendar and, given that, we have unique characteristics in this type of track. On an oval track, the tire is subjected to more constant work, especially in the turns, and the right side of the car ends up being more demanded. Therefore, it is essential to work with a tire that offers resistance and consistency throughout the entire race, maintaining the performance level even with the track evolution.”
