The Cascavel (PR) stage of NASCAR Brasil promises a busy weekend, but it is the expectations of the Cavaleiro Sports team drivers that draw attention — especially after the consistent performance in the championship opener in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS).

Galid Osman arrives at the Paraná circuit with high confidence and a strong emotional connection to the track. “I am very excited to race again in Cascavel and continue developing the car after the debut in Santa Cruz, when we overcame some setbacks. The Cascavel track is one of my favorites in the season and I am happy to compete again on the layout and take the Bacião corner at full throttle. Last year we were competitive in the night race and I already won the TCR title precisely in Cascavel. So the expectation is the best possible to represent Shell once again among the podium contenders,” said the São Paulo driver.
On the other side of the team, Ricardo Zonta also projects a competitive performance despite the challenges faced in the previous stage. “In Santa Cruz, at the championship opener, we were very competitive, with great chances to make the podium in both races. A pity about the accident… We are going to Cascavel with a completely new car built due to the damage caused by the crash. We have already raced this year in Cascavel and are well aligned with the track. We just need to do a good job to collect as many points as possible thinking about the championship!” highlighted the Paraná driver.

In the first stage of the season, Osman secured two results within the top 10, with a sixth and a ninth place. Zonta finished the first race in fifth place but retired from the second after an incident while trying to avoid an accident.
The schedule in Cascavel starts on Friday with the first free practice. On Saturday, the drivers face an intense agenda, with another practice, qualifying, the Sprint Race, and the unprecedented Sunset Race, scheduled for late afternoon. Race 2, which closes the stage, takes place on Sunday morning.
