The NASCAR Brasil Race 2, held on the morning of this Sunday (3), saw Nicolas Costa’s first victory. In a turbulent race at the Zilmar Beux Autodrome in Cascavel (PR), the driver managed to stay firm in the lead until the last second. Additionally, Bruna Tomaselli won in the Challenge, becoming the first woman to win in the category.

Green flag and Nicolas Costa, who started in front due to the grid inversion, managed to maintain the lead. One of the highlights of the start was Victor Andrade, who jumped from fifth to third position.
The safety car was deployed as early as the second lap after Alfredinho Ibiapina and Gustavo Bandeira were involved in an incident that led both to retire from the race. The crash happened right after Denis Navarro and Ricardo Maurício also got into trouble and lost several positions.
The restart was given with Costa defending against Gama and maintaining position. However, some drivers were involved in incidents. Jorge Martelli was one of them and ended up with a damaged car.
With ten minutes to go, Gabriel Casagrande began to pressure Victor Andrade. But he could not advance, as the safety car was deployed again.

The restart happened a few minutes later, with no changes at the front of the pack. The race was again interrupted after Tatiana Calderóm hit Felipe Tozzo’s car, as well as Cacá Bueno.
At the new restart, Juninho Berlanda and Ricardo Zonta were involved in an incident, causing another safety car.
The race still had one last restart and the victory went to Nicolas Costa. Arthur Gama and Victor Andrade completed the podium, while Bruna Tomaselli won in the Challenge category.
