Driver in his second season in NASCAR Brazil, Cacá Bueno showed resilience throughout the fifth stage of the championship, held on the outer ring of the Autódromo Internacional de Mato Grosso, in Cuiabá. The owner of car number 0 from Team RC started from second position and was among the leaders when he spun in the first stage of the race. In the final stage, the ten-time national champion advanced nine positions and finished 12th.

After showing strength in qualifying and in the Sprint Race, where he finished second, Cacá was among the leaders throughout the initial part of the first stage of the race. With 15 minutes into the race, however, a spin caused the driver to leave the competition. Returning for the final stage, a brake failure limited the chances of a good result, even with the progress through the pack during the last 25 minutes of the race.
“The weekend started well with second place in qualifying and in the Sprint Race, which earned good points for the championship. But in the main race, I have to apologize to the team because I made a mistake. When I had Denis Navarro beside me, braking on the dirty side, I lost the rear of the car. The car has this peculiarity and I should have been more careful. I stepped on the curb when I took the inside line, put load on the tire, and spun,” said Cacá.

“I managed to get back into the race, but I lost the brakes, first the front ones. After a few laps, I lost the rear brakes, the pedal went out, and I was ‘cruising’ on the track and finished 12th. It’s a shame because the car was capable of fighting for a podium in both races,” added Cacá Bueno, who is sponsored by Betnacional, Capital Concreto, PicPay, ACDelco, SpeedMax Pneus, Pneu Store, Milwaukee, Turbi, and Chevrolet.
NASCAR Brazil continues the 2026 season on August 22 and 23, when it visits the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna, in Londrina (PR), for the sixth stage of the year, and the penultimate before the start of the playoffs that will decide the title.
