In Melbourne, the Racing Bulls driver started from ninth position, alongside Gabriel Bortoleto. Right at the start, he moved up significantly in the pack, but gradually ended up being overtaken until he was in eighth.
There, he faced significant pressure from his Brazilian opponent, but managed to cross the finish line within the points zone in his first race as a Formula 1 driver.

With this, Lindblad becomes the third youngest driver to score points in the category. In Melbourne, he was 18 years and seven months old.
Leading the list is Max Verstappen, who scored points for the first time in 2015 at 17 years, 5 months, and 29 days old. Then, Kimi Antonelli comes in second at 18 years, six months, and 19 days old. Lance Stroll in 2017 and Oliver Bearman in 2024 complete the five youngest to have scored points.
