Liam Lawson has revealed a desire to try other categories outside of Formula 1, as long as they do not interfere with his current racing schedule.

Max Verstappen has been the biggest example of testing new opportunities outside the main motorsport category. The Dutchman has been making ‘escapes’ to the Nordschleife and competes in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in May.
Lawson, in the past, has raced in DTM and now expressed the desire to try other categories again, dismissing the idea that it could interfere with his Formula 1 season.

“I’ve done that in the past and loved it. I think driving different cars doesn’t hurt you much. I think having that level of adaptability is always good. I’m lucky to have had that opportunity from a very young age,” he said.
“In New Zealand, I was driving a race car on a track at 12 years old, which is quite young. Before racing in F4 in Europe, for most drivers, that is their first year of racing, and I had already done, like, three years of circuit racing, over four years. So, it would be cool,” he added.
