Like father, like son. In his first qualifying in the Porsche Cup, Pipo Massa took pole position in the Carrera Cup Rookie class this Saturday (28) at Interlagos.

This weekend, the son of former Formula 1 driver Felipe is making his debut in the country’s main single-make category. After tests at the end of 2025, he will now race the full championship – with rounds in Portugal and being a support race for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
So, in his first qualifying session, he managed to stay ahead of many experienced drivers and with a time of 1min37s906, the young competitor in the #19 Porsche took pole position in the class.
After his session, commenting on the broadcast about the feat, he praised the achievement and highlighted the preparation he had for this first round of the 2026 Porsche Cup at Interlagos.

“So far it’s been perfect. We managed to drive in the wet and the dry, we had a bit of preparation, but I’m very happy,” he told Cris Dias, the category’s reporter.
Pipo Massa is being accompanied by his whole family these days, with father Felipe, mother Rafaela, and uncle Dudu watching the entire debut closely.
