Rookie driver Pedro Clerot, making his first season in Formula 3, will start from the front row on the grid for the Sprint race of the penultimate round of the championship, scheduled for the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. In a qualifying session held in groups this Friday (4th), the Brazilian from Rodin Motorsport was the sixth fastest, securing second place for the start of Saturday’s race.

The owner of car number 17 was part of the second group of drivers to visit the track during qualifying. Since the pole position came from this group, Clerot and all drivers were assigned to the odd positions on the grid for Sunday, placing him 11th, opening the sixth row. With the inversion of positions among the top 12 for the Sprint, the first champion in the history of F4 Brazil secured second place.
“Today was an okay day. We finished with the sixth-best time in our group with only one flying lap. So we will start from second position tomorrow and 11th on Sunday. I am confident with the team, so we will give our all for the races,” said Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.

Currently in tenth place in the championship, Clerot has three podiums and four top-5 finishes, as well as seven races finished in the points zone of Formula 3. More than that, the driver aims to advance in the championship standings in the final rounds of the 2026 season.
F3 continues the program of the Italy round this Saturday (5th), with the Sprint race scheduled for 4:30 AM, while the main race is set for 3:15 AM on Sunday. Both races will be broadcast on F1TV.
