Kelly Piquet and her daughter, Penelope, had a special meeting with Toto Wolff in the Monza paddock during the Formula 1 Italian GP weekend. The little one even got a scooter ride with the Mercedes boss before visiting the team’s garage.

Wolff and his son Jack met Kelly and Penelope in the Italian paddock. According to a Mercedes post on social media, the Austrian executive showed his scooter to the girl and took her for a ride before accompanying her to the team’s garage.
The presence of the two in Monza was also related to the support of the Dutchman’s family during the weekend. The Red Bull Racing driver had initially secured sixth place in Q2 but moved up to fifth on the starting grid after Oscar Piastri was penalized for obstructing Liam Lawson.

The meeting between Wolff and the Verstappen family was not treated as unusual. Both sides have shown closeness before, and during the 2026 season summer holidays, they were photographed together in Sardinia.
The relationship had also been recorded the previous year when the families again spent part of the holidays together. In Monza, this closeness appeared publicly again, this time with Penelope participating in a relaxed moment alongside Wolff and getting a close look at the Mercedes garage.
