After the race in Silverstone, Verstappen returned to the Red Bull factory to work on the simulator and said he was excited to return to his favorite circuit. “It was good to have a little break and, although Silverstone was a tough weekend, I was back at the factory last week working on the simulator with the team. Looking at Spa, it is my favorite track on the calendar and it is always good to be back,” he said.

The driver acknowledged that the Belgian layout may represent an additional challenge due to the energy management limitations imposed by the current power unit regulations. Red Bull has faced difficulties precisely on circuits with high energy demand throughout the season.

Even so, Verstappen believes that the team’s recent history at Spa can make a difference. “I think it can be more complicated because of the energy management limitations on the straights, but historically we have done very well here, so you never know what can happen,” he concluded.
