Max Verstappen was far from satisfied with the qualifying result of the Canadian Grand Prix in Formula 1. Managing only the sixth position on the grid, the driver complained about the path taken by Red Bull.

At the Miami GP, the Austrian team seemed to have taken a step towards competitiveness. However, this weekend in Montreal, things have been complicated again, irritating the four-time world champion.
Speaking after the session, the Dutchman commented on how the team decided to go in a direction of adjustment that he himself did not agree with. “We did something different with my car, it was what the team wanted,” he explained.
“Obviously, it doesn’t work as it should. But sometimes you also need to let the team do what they know and make it clear that it doesn’t work. I said: ‘Go ahead, if you think this will work, then do it.’ And, obviously, it doesn’t work,” he continued.

“I’ve said this so many times, but sometimes you need to let them feel for themselves that it doesn’t work.”
Asked why things went differently behind the scenes this weekend, Verstappen said that “of course they listen to me often, but not this time, because they were convinced it would work.”
