Andrea Stella believes that this weekend’s Miami GP will offer quite interesting battles. The McLaren boss believes that his team, along with Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull, will have good fights in the fourth round of the 2026 Formula 1 season.

For the Sprint race, it is Lando Norris who will start from pole position, with Oscar Piastri lining up third – only Kimi Antonelli is separating the papaya duo. Also, the Maranello team and the Austrian team showed good pace, with the German rival seeming slightly behind.
Therefore, for the McLaren executive, the Formula 1 GP on Sunday the 3rd should offer a good fight for the drivers on the track.
“We had some encouraging signs in practice when we saw that the updates we brought here worked as expected. When we saw the list of updates, we realized that everyone had a new car, or at least 50% of the garages,” he told Sky Sports.

“We have already shown in the past that we did a great job manufacturing, designing, and implementing these updates. It’s good to see McLaren at the front. Mercedes, with the soft tires, when they managed to put everything together, got very close. It’s interesting for the sport. We saw that Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren were competitive,” he continued.
“We should have some good fights here in Miami and in the upcoming races. The important thing is that McLaren is there and we can have a very interesting competition,” he concluded.
