This decision indicates initial confidence in the concept, even though it is still under evaluation. The part is part of a larger set of changes that could influence performance over the next races.
The component, which debuted in the preseason in Bahrain, features a 270-degree rotation movement, different from the traditional DRS opening system. After being briefly tested in China and removed, the wing was used again in Miami, even attracting the attention of competitors.

Fred Vasseur, team principal, confirmed the decision to continue using it: “From today, we will keep the ‘Macarena’ rear wing on the car,” he said. According to him, the first impressions were positive, but it is still early for definitive conclusions.
Vasseur highlighted that factors such as track temperature also influence the analysis and that development continues at a fast pace: “The initial feeling is positive, but we will have clearer feedback after the weekend. We are all at the beginning of development and only time will tell if we are heading in the right direction,” concluded the Frenchman.
