Ferrari should give more space to Lewis Hamilton’s experience, according to a survey conducted by GPblog. For 65% of the participants, the Italian team should listen more to the seven-time Formula 1 champion, given the current phase of performance decline.

This discussion gained momentum after rumors published by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera indicated that Hamilton had requested the replacement of some important figures at Ferrari. The British driver denied the information and stated that he never requested changes in his team.
“I never asked for anyone on my team to be replaced. Everyone I work with works very hard every day, and their dedication is what drives us forward,” Hamilton said. The Brit also emphasized that his intention is to help the people around him develop their potential.
“I always try to empower people and help them be the best versions of themselves, or at least see the best in themselves. I may not always succeed, but that is my intention and that is what I am here for,” he added.

However, the driver had indeed requested a set of operating rules from Ferrari after the incident in Monza. Until the GP held in Madrid, these guidelines had not yet been presented to Hamilton. On that occasion, he stated that the team still needed to find time to discuss how they could work better.
“I’m sure that at some point we will discuss how we can be better, but we haven’t had much time since the change. We can’t change things in two days,” he added.
The GPblog survey showed 65% support for the idea that Ferrari should listen more to its experienced driver, against 35% who do not consider it necessary to follow Hamilton’s stance more closely. The scenario occurs while the team is going through a difficult sequence, with no podiums in Zandvoort and Monza, as well as Hamilton’s retirement in Madrid due to a brake problem. As a result, the Brit appears 101 points behind Kimi Antonelli in the drivers’ championship standings.
