Isack Hadjar is out of the Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1 this coming weekend. Red Bull Racing confirmed that the driver still feels pain in the injured wrist, and as a precaution, will not compete in the Monza round.

The Frenchman suffered the injury during training during the category’s break in August, and is still in the recovery process. With his absence, Liam Lawson will remain alongside Max Verstappen in the RB22, after securing seventh position in Zandvoort.
Red Bull stated that Hadjar has been showing positive progress, but his recovery will continue to be closely monitored before any decision about his return: “Liam Lawson will drive alongside Max Verstappen at the Italian GP in Monza, while Isack continues to show encouraging progress after the wrist injury suffered during the break,” the team said in a statement.

The team also made it clear that it does not intend to rush the process: “The team is closely monitoring his rehabilitation and will not take unnecessary risks with his return to competition, in addition to wishing him a speedy recovery,” added Red Bull.
There is still no confirmation about Hadjar’s participation in the next GP, which will be the first Spanish GP in Madrid. While the Frenchman remains sidelined, Yuki Tsunoda will continue at Racing Bulls alongside Arvid Lindblad, while Ayumu Iwasa will replace Verstappen in TL1 in Monza.
