Ferrari arrives at the Italian Grand Prix with an important update to the SF-26. Frederic Vasseur, team principal, confirmed that the team will use the latest ADUO specification for the power unit this weekend, in an attempt to gain performance. The news comes after Ferrari missed the podium in the last two races, held on circuits that, on paper, should have favored the car.

Vasseur emphasized that small gains can be decisive. Therefore, in addition to the new power unit, the priority will be to execute a weekend without errors starting Friday: “On the performance side, we are introducing an updated power unit as part of the development opportunities available in ADUO. It represents a step in the right direction and, as we know, this year is very much about marginal gains. Monza is a demanding circuit and the grid is extremely balanced, and our priority will be to execute all aspects of the weekend as best as possible, starting Friday. We want to draw extra motivation from the passion of our home fans and give our tifosi a strong weekend.”
The GP in Monza will also have a special meaning for Ferrari in 2026 because of the tribute to Michael Schumacher. According to Vasseur, the legacy of the seven-time world champion continues to influence the organization, especially due to his constant pursuit of evolution, attention to detail, and appreciation of teamwork.
