Ralf Schumacher spoke again about Max Verstappen’s long-term future at Red Bull, raising questions especially after Jos Verstappen and Raymond Vermeulen, the manager, were seen in McLaren’s hospitality at the Belgian Formula 1 GP.

The four-time champion’s next steps in the sport have been the subject of debates and discussions in the paddock. Despite having a contract with the Austrian team until the end of 2027, some point to his departure at the end of 2026.
While the four-time F1 champion remains silent about his future, Vermeulen, Laurent Mekkies, and Zak Brown try to dismiss the recent rumors. But that doesn’t stop Ralf from bringing his own opinions.
“I saw images of Verstappen’s manager [Raymond Vermeulen] and Jos Verstappen in McLaren’s hospitality area last weekend. That shouldn’t be a coincidence. Without a doubt, conversations happened there,” he told the Sky Sports Germany podcast.

“They certainly didn’t just show up for a coffee, which, I’m told, is better at Red Bull. So, I’m curious to know what’s going on there,” he continued.
“Formula 1 remains unpredictable. Something happens every weekend. If the car suddenly performs well again and the mood becomes more positive, everything can change in an instant,” he added.
