Max Verstappen’s renewal with Red Bull Racing until the end of 2030 was met with relief by Peter Bayer, CEO of Racing Bulls. The executive stated that the four-time champion’s stay helps bring stability to the team’s system and also to Formula 1.

During the team principals’ press conference in Zandvoort, Bayer highlighted that the new contract ends some of the uncertainties surrounding the future of Red Bull’s main name. According to him, the decision also allows Racing Bulls to keep focus on their own season, without rushing to decide their driver lineup.
“Great news about Max, honestly, because this is obviously calming the whole system,” said Bayer. The executive also highlighted satisfaction with the work done by Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad, who continue to be evaluated by the team.
Although the team has not yet defined its duo for next year, Racing Bulls counts on the two drivers and also on other names coming from its young talent program. Bayer made it clear that the team intends to wait for the right moment before announcing any decision.

“We are very happy with Liam and Arvid and the work they are doing. So, we are not in a hurry,” added the executive. This statement indicates that, at this moment, the performance of the duo and the availability of other talents keep the possibilities open for the team’s formation.
Bayer continued, saying that the development program offers alternatives for Racing Bulls, and that the team principal, Alan Permane, intends to preserve calm in the internal environment: “We have a good group of drivers emerging from the young talent program. So, I think Alan really wants to keep everyone calm, everyone focused, and will decide when it is the perfect time to inform the drivers and everyone here,” he concluded.
