Pirelli has revealed the trophy it will award this weekend at the Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1, with the unusual and curious design being developed by Italian artists, continuing a multi-year project.

The Italian brand reaches its sixth year of partnership with the HangarBicocca Museum of Contemporary Art, which has designed the drivers’ awards for the race in Monza – some truly bizarre.
Vedovamazzei, Stella Scala and Simeone Crispino received the commission for this season, and their style is described as ironic, with an ‘ability to capture the contradictions and complexities of reality’.
It turns out that despite being designed through a highly technical 3D printing process using nylon powder, the 2026 F1 Italian GP trophy closely resembles a stack of cups, mugs, and small bowls.
The name is ‘FRAGILE’, and explaining the design, the artists said that “the idea for the trophy comes from the ancient tradition of passing a commemorative cup from hand to hand. It served as a large container for drinks, creating a sense of shared celebration and festivity.”

“We wanted the trophy to be the symbol of a victory that an individual holds in their hands, but at the same time reflects the spirit of a community. In the case of Formula 1, this community includes the team, the fans, and the entire universe revolving around the drivers,” they added.
“The composition also evokes a daily dimension through repeated gestures, suggesting a victory earned lap after lap, which never corresponds to an eternal and immutable status. It is unstable, ephemeral, and must be won again. In fact, it is fragile,” they concluded.
Now that’s a unique #F1 trophy for the #ItalianGP.
