In Hungary, the team suffered a double retirement, with Pérez suffering a suspension failure. “It’s something internal. I mean, we don’t know for sure, but it seems to be something internal,” the Mexican said when detailing the problem.

Now, with Formula 1 entering the summer break, Checo is optimistic that the team will use the time to find answers to the problems faced in 2026. “Obviously, being a new team, we kind of expect all these problems,” he said.

“It’s a bit frustrating that this has happened so often. I’m sure we will use this break to make sure we can adjust and improve all aspects in the different departments. It’s very important how we will evolve in the second half of the season,” he added.
