After starting from pole position, the 2025 champion showed an impressive pace to win with a 15-second advantage over the rest of the pack. With the victory, he now stands 91 points behind the Mercedes driver in the World Drivers’ Championship.
“How many points am I behind? He must be feeling the pressure, that’s for sure. The situation could be resolved in about two races… or ten. But, look, the pressure is on him, definitely. There is no pressure on me; I have been feeling very confident,” he said.

“They have been making more mistakes as a team, while we have made fewer and certainly come strong; but I hope they still win races and that we also win more, we just need to be perfect,” he added.
