After winning his first F1 title last year, in a tight battle with Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen and his own teammate, Oscar Piastri, Norris enters 2026 with high expectations. The season begins with a revamped regulation, which erases the significant progress McLaren had over the last two years. McLaren’s new car, the MCL40, is still somewhat unknown, although it showed positive signs in pre-season testing.
When asked about who could be his biggest rival in 2026, Norris did not hesitate to answer with a smile: “Probably Aston Martin. Maybe Cadillac. Otherwise, we focus on ourselves,” he said smiling.
