The Spanish Formula 1 GP, taking place this weekend, will have a different scenario for each team regarding car updates. While Mercedes and Red Bull bet on changes to seek specific gains, other teams arrived at the new Madring Circuit with few novelties, preferring to explore new possibilities later on, at already known circuits.

After Kimi Antonelli’s victory at the Italian GP, Mercedes brought to Madrid a package mainly designed to reduce drag. The changes are concentrated at the rear, with alterations to the rear wing and the exhaust pipe. Mercedes is aiming for its 10th win of the season this weekend.
Red Bull also took advantage of the stage to try to find answers to the problems that have been affecting the RB22. In Monza, Max Verstappen had noticed that performance dropped during the race. Now, the team modified the rear wheel bodywork assembly and made a geometric change in the area between the floor and the chassis.
At Ferrari, the list is shorter. The only update presented was a redesign of the upper rear suspension tray, aiming to improve local downforce.

McLaren also brought only one novelty to the Spanish GP. The change is in the rear wing and seeks to improve airflow.
Among the midfield teams, the movement was even smaller. Alpine, which secured pole position at the last Italian GP, presented a new floor for the Madrid stage. Cadillac modified the rear wing and the diffuser. Williams, Racing Bulls, Aston Martin, Haas, and Audi did not bring updates to the Spanish GP.
