Jos Verstappen gave an important indication about the future of his son Max in Formula 1. After the confirmation that the Dutch driver will remain at Red Bull Racing until the end of 2030, his father suggested that the team may also be the final destination of his career.

The new agreement ended speculation about a possible departure of Max from Red Bull, which had been growing amid the team’s performance decline. For Jos, the renewal represents a show of confidence in the project and increases the possibility of a long partnership between his son and the Milton Keynes team.
In an interview with Viaplay, Jos highlighted the relationship built over the years and indicated that the bond now established could extend until the end of Max’s F1 career: “Look, in the end, we have been here for an incredibly long time and now it seems we will continue until the end. It’s great to see that. We are loyal to Red Bull and there is a feeling of calm again,” he said.
Max’s stay comes at a time when Red Bull has lost ground in the fight for the top positions. Even so, the four-time world champion decided to continue betting on the team’s future, placing on those responsible for the project the mission to deliver a car capable of winning again.

Jos acknowledged that the expectation is now directly linked to Red Bull’s ability to live up to the confidence placed by Max: “In the end, you want to win races. So, the pressure is on them to simply build a good car for the future,” he added.
The former F1 driver also showed confidence in the team’s potential to react: “We know they can do it. And now? Now we just hope it happens soon,” Jos concluded, emphasizing that the continuation until 2030 could represent much more than just a contract extension.
