At Albert Park, the Audi competitor was set to line up in 11th place on the starting grid. However, due to problems with his car, he did not have the opportunity to fight in the championship’s opening race.
Therefore, taking stock of his participation during the weekend, he lamented the issue he had when he was about to line up in the pack.

“Unfortunately, we didn’t have the opportunity to compete today. We had a technical problem on the way to the grid, and we couldn’t resolve it in time for the start. The team is investigating to understand exactly what happened. It’s obviously frustrating to miss the race and the opportunity to learn more,” he said.
“That said, it’s positive to see the team finish with points thanks to Gabi, what is a great result and an excellent way to start the F1 era for Audi. Racing is dynamic, so we’ll regroup and try again next week,” he added.
