Only ten of the 22 planned rounds for the 2026 Formula 1 season have passed, but Lewis Hamilton has already scored more points than in the entire 2025 championship.

In his first year defending Ferrari, the seven-time champion experienced a complicated period in his career. Amidst so much expectation, he finished for the first time without having achieved a victory throughout the year, in addition to ending the campaign with three consecutive exits in Q1 of qualifying.
But after a ‘reset’ during the winter between seasons, the seven-time F1 champion turned things around. In Barcelona, he achieved his first victory wearing red, and his fourth position in Belgium promoted him to second place in the World Championship, 45 points behind Kimi Antonelli.

And after such a subpar 2025, the driver has already achieved five podiums in ten races, including the victory in Spain. Furthermore, he is the only driver on the F1 grid who has managed to complete all laps in 2026, with his worst results being sixth places in Japan and Miami.
Not only that, but his qualifying performance has also shown remarkable improvement. Now, he is much closer to Charles Leclerc, with the battle standing at 6-4 in favor of the Monegasque. The Briton has not qualified below seventh since the start of the championship, with second position on the Barcelona grid being his best starting spot so far.
