According to the information, federal prosecutors initiated investigations in 2025 related to Guggenheim, a global investment and financial services company of which Walter is CEO and shareholder through TWG. The company’s asset management arm manages approximately US$ 362 billion.

According to Bloomberg, the FBI executed at least one search and seizure warrant in September 2025. In parallel, authorities also began investigating insurers Delaware Life Insurance Co. and Clear Spring Life and Annuity Co., also controlled by the businessman.

Still according to the American agency, prosecutors seek to clarify whether some of these companies failed to report that certain private credit investments were supporting other areas of Walter’s business conglomerate.
