Lewis Hamilton took advantage of the break in Formula 1 to introduce to fans Halo, his new dog, a golden retriever. The Ferrari driver shared photos and videos alongside the puppy during the rest period after the first half of the 2026 season.

Halo was acquired by Hamilton from Goldiva Goldens, an American breeder who confirmed the delivery of the animal on social media. The dog was photographed wearing a racing helmet before being taken to Los Angeles, where animal trainer Kirstin McMillan participated in the process.
McMillan has already worked with other dogs of Hamilton, including Roscoe, the driver’s English bulldog who passed away in 2025. The arrival of Halo had already been announced by Goldiva Goldens itself and also appeared in a post by Kim Kardashian, the driver’s girlfriend, but only now has Hamilton shown the animal on his own profile.
In a post gathering records of his rest, the seven-time champion shared images in which he appears playing with Halo and also posing next to her. The post quickly gained great repercussion, reaching 1.7 million likes and more than 20 thousand shares on Instagram.

It has not yet been confirmed whether Halo will accompany Hamilton on any race weekend. If this happens, the golden retriever may share the GP environment with Leo, Charles Leclerc’s long-haired dachshund. Goldiva Goldens also commented on Hamilton’s post, celebrating the time spent between the driver and the new companion.
While enjoying the break in the F1 season, Hamilton occupies second place in the drivers’ championship, 50 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli. The first half of the year also marked his first victory in a GP with Ferrari, as well as a series of podiums.
