Formula 1 arrives at the Monaco GP with Lewis Hamilton believing he can still fight for victory, even in the face of historical difficulties in overtaking on the Monte Carlo circuit. The Ferrari driver starts from third position and promises to pressure the opponents ahead of him.

Hamilton had a competitive weekend and was close to the front row of the grid. However, pole position went to Kimi Antonelli, who beat Max Verstappen by just 0s043. The Red Bull driver completes the front row, while the Briton starts right behind the two leaders.
Despite the challenge, the seven-time world champion stressed that he does not intend to give up the fight. “We know how these races usually are. It’s very difficult. I don’t believe there will be any overtaking. I hope we can get a very good start and maybe put pressure on the two,” he stated.

Hamilton acknowledged that external factors could end up influencing the race result, but maintained an optimistic tone. “We would probably need rain, but nothing is impossible. I will keep pushing. It will be very difficult to beat these two. They are great drivers, in fast cars, and have been very strong all weekend,” he added.
The Ferrari driver also criticized the current characteristics of the Monaco GP again. According to him, the race usually turns into a procession, with few opportunities for position changes and constant problems with car and brake overheating. “I hope there is an ingenious way to make this race more fun for the drivers and also for the fans in the future. But I will give absolutely everything and try to bother them as much as possible, trying to force them to make mistakes,” Hamilton concluded.
