Lewis Hamilton had the special support of his mother Carmen Larbalestier at the Formula 1 Canadian GP. After the matriarch saw him achieve the second podium of the season, the seven-time world champion stated that he wants to take his ‘lucky charm’ to more races.

The Ferrari driver achieved his best result with the Italian team by finishing in second place in Montreal. And just like in Australia and China – the latter also securing a top-3 – the Brit was accompanied by his mother during the weekend – normally, Carmen only watches the British GP in Silverstone ‘in person’.
After the F1 race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Hamilton stated: he needs to take her to more races on the calendar. “It was a very nice weekend. I rented an apartment here and my mother stayed with me. So, every night we had dinner together and watched a movie or just talked. It was amazing,” he said.

“We’re going on a little trip for a few days, so I’m very excited. And having a positive result is also great. I definitely need – now she has to come, she is clearly my lucky charm, my sign of luck – to bring her to come every weekend,” he added.
