Haas started the 2026 Formula 1 season well in the first practice sessions of the Australian GP. Without major problems, Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon made positive and optimistic comments after the sessions.

Between both activities held at Albert Park this Friday (6), the American team completed a total of 113 laps between its two drivers. The main thing is that they didn’t have major problems like teams such as Williams and Aston Martin.
“It was a positive day, in the sense that we learned a lot and discovered many things on a track very different from the one we were used to in Bahrain. There are many more things to focus on, and I think we progressed, which is the goal. Now, it’s important to consolidate everything tonight and ensure we take a step forward for tomorrow – that’s the goal,” said Bearman.

Meanwhile, Ocon stated that “there is a lot going on, many details and information to take in. It was interesting to race on a different track and see how the car behaves. The balance feels good, there are some small details to adjust, but it’s not far from ideal.”
“We need to optimize the energy delivery, as there is a lot to gain there, and it’s not that easy at the moment. However, everything is within our reach if we can maximize this with the engineers. So, let’s see how tomorrow goes,” he concluded.
