Ferrari has decided to keep Dino Beganovic in its structure for 2027, but the Swedish-Bosnian will not continue as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. According to GPblog, the driver will remain connected to the team as a test and development driver.

Beganovic has been part of Ferrari’s structure since 2020 and has built his career in the junior categories under the guidance of the Italian team. At 22 years old, he is currently competing in his second season in Formula 2, and although he has won races in Formula 3 and in F2 itself, he has not effectively fought for titles.
Besides his career in the junior categories, Beganovic already performs roles within Ferrari in the simulator and as a test driver. He has also participated in four FP1 sessions in Formula 1, including appearances this season in Barcelona and Austria, helping the team fulfill the obligation to provide opportunities to a rookie during GP weekends.
However, this continuity is not expected to include a full-time seat in F1. According to the information, Ferrari does not see space for Beganovic in one of its cars, and therefore, is not currently working to place him temporarily in another team, as happened with Oliver Bearman and Rafael Câmara.

The idea is to take advantage of the experience accumulated by the driver in other roles. For 2027, Ferrari intends to keep him in the simulator and as a development driver, including the possibility of participation in tests of cars from previous seasons (TPC).
Beganovic, in turn, is expected to leave Formula 2 after the current season with DAMS, although it is not yet defined where he will race next year. One possibility would be his entry into Ferrari’s team in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), a category in which he could represent a renewal among the young drivers of the Italian structure.
