But the ex-F1 driver, who worked with Newey in the past, highlighted the experience of the 67-year-old professional and said he believes the Briton will be able to transform Aston Martin’s project.

“He is a racing man; what he does not do is corporate public relations. He is authentic, straightforward, and that is precisely why he is the right person to handle this situation. If it were any other team, any other designer, technical director, or team principal, he probably would have already left. But, because it is Adrian, you know he will get it right,” he emphasized.
