Formula 1 defined on Friday the provisional grid for the Sprint of the 2026 Canadian GP in Montreal. Mercedes dominated the Sprint Qualifying and secured the entire front row with George Russell on pole and Kimi Antonelli in second.

McLaren appears right behind with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri occupying the second row. Lewis Hamilton was the best of Ferrari finishing fifth, while Charles Leclerc starts just behind, in sixth.
Max Verstappen was only seventh after facing balance difficulties in the Red Bull car throughout the session. The Dutchman will share the fourth row with Isack Hadjar. Arvid Lindblad, from Racing Bulls, caught attention by advancing to SQ3 and securing ninth place, while Carlos Sainz completes the top 10 with Williams.

Among the Brazilians, Gabriel Bortoleto will start in 12th position with Audi, just behind teammate Nico Hülkenberg. The grid also had Alexander Albon only in 21st and Liam Lawson closing the classification in 22nd after mechanical problems in the Racing Bulls car.
