The weather forecast for the Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 1 has undergone a significant change in the last 48 hours. After a start to the week indicating rain during the three days of activities at Spa-Francorchamps, the weather models now point to a more favorable scenario, especially for Saturday and Sunday.

This change is important for teams and drivers, as Spa is known for its unpredictable weather conditions. At the moment, only Friday shows a high chance of rain, while the chances for the qualifying session and the race have decreased considerably.
According to the recent update released this Wednesday (15), Friday will have at least a 50% chance of rain during the afternoon. The expectation is that a system coming from the Atlantic will reach France before advancing over Belgium on the first day of track activities.
For Saturday, however, the forecast is quite optimistic. There is a 0% chance of rain affecting the qualifying session and support categories, an important change compared to the projections released at the beginning of the week.
Sunday also presents a better outlook for the main race of the weekend. The chance of rain dropped to 28%, after exceeding 50% on Monday, reducing concerns about a race marked by extreme conditions.

These weather models also indicate the formation of a low-pressure system over Scandinavia between Friday night and Saturday morning. The forecast points out that this system will move towards central Europe and may connect to the one bringing rain to Spa, passing over the Baltic Sea before advancing on Sunday.
Even so, the trend is that the main core of this system will cross Denmark and Germany before heading east. Only its edge may cause isolated showers in the region of the Belgian circuit during race day.
Temperatures are expected to remain between 18°C and just over 20°C throughout the weekend, with predominantly cloudy skies. Winds from the northwest are also expected, favoring a tailwind on the Kemmel straight towards Les Combes and a headwind approaching the Bus Stop chicane.
