F1: Canadian GP grid changes after Stroll penalty

Formula 1 had another change in the provisional grid for the 2026 Canadian GP after the penalty applied to Lance Stroll. The Aston Martin driver will start from the pit lane after changing power unit components beyond the limit allowed by the regulations.

As a result, Valtteri Bottas gained a position and will line up 21st on the grid. George Russell remains on pole position for Sunday’s race in Montreal, with Kimi Antonelli completing the first row 100% Mercedes.

McLaren occupies the second row with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while Lewis Hamilton starts fifth with Ferrari. Max Verstappen starts from sixth position, ahead of Isack Hadjar. Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, from Audi, appears 13th on the provisional grid.
