Formula 1 resumes the 2026 season this weekend with the Miami GP. Both Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez are excited to return to the track with Cadillac.

The main motorsport category had to face a forced break during April. The five weeks, however, served for regulation adjustments and for the teams to further develop their cars.
So, now landing in the United States, the F1 2026 rookie team competes in its first home race. And thinking about that, Bottas is excited to race in front of the fans and hopes the update helps the team.

“I’m excited to get back in the car, and there’s no better place for that than at home for the team. Being able to represent Cadillac in its first home race is a special moment. I can’t wait to get on track in front of the local fans and feel the energy they bring. After our positive start to the season, we want to make sure we continue to build on everything we’ve achieved so far. The team has been working hard to deliver an update for Miami, so I’m excited to see how we perform with the goal of getting closer to the midfield pack,” he said.
Pérez wants to see progress ahead in Miami and stated that “after the race in Japan, I’m very excited to get back on track, especially after this break. We made great progress in the first three races and the update we will bring to Miami will help us take another step forward. The goal is to reduce the gap to the front teams and fight for positions. If we achieve that, we will gain even more momentum and confidence for this busy part of the year. Being part of Cadillac is a true pleasure – it’s a team with big ambitions and a path to achieve them.”
