Martin Brundle has reduced his Formula 1 workload for the 2026 season. The commentator confirmed that he will work fewer rounds with Sky Sports throughout the championship.

The 66-year-old Briton stated that he will be present at only 16 of the 22 races on this calendar. With this, he has decreased by two GPs compared to his appearances in the 2025 season, which were 18.
Brundle began his television work back in 1997 with ITV and worked for the broadcaster until 2008, when he joined the BBC team between 2009 and 2011.
Later, he moved to Sky Sports when the channel took over the Formula 1 broadcasting rights in the United Kingdom. Martin has been with Sky Sports F1 ever since, but has gradually been reducing his presence at the races on-site.

“I do 16 races a year, so I end up missing some, and they are usually the early morning races. But I’m always a bit sad when I’m not at Suzuka, because I love that track as a driver and as a commentator, but I can’t participate in all of them nowadays,” he explained to The F1 Show podcast.
But Brundle has already confirmed that he will be back at the track for the Miami GP on May 3. So far, he has been in Australia, but missed China and Japan.
