Gabriel Bortoleto crossed the finish line ninth in the Sprint race of the Dutch Grand Prix of Formula 1. This Saturday (22), the competitor chased Pierre Gasly but finished in the same position he started, just missing out on scoring points.

With overcast skies but slight sun, the weather was slightly cooler than on Friday. The thermometer showed 18ºC, while the asphalt reached 26ºC and humidity was around 63%.
For the first time, Audi’s main driver managed to advance to SQ3 and thus lined up in ninth position on the starting grid in Zandvoort, alongside Arvid Lindblad.
Lights out and start authorized for the Sprint of the Dutch Grand Prix of Formula 1. The race is scheduled for 24 laps and at this first moment, he maintained his position and began to chase Pierre Gasly, eighth.
With six laps completed, Gabriel remained in ninth place but was 0.6 seconds behind the Alpine rival, just missing out on points. Meanwhile, Nico Hülkenberg ended up retiring from the Sprint, leaving the Brazilian with the task of being the only points scorer for Audi.

The competitor in car #5 was turning faster than the Frenchman, but it is worth remembering that for the Dutch GP of F1, Alpine brought updates, all on Pierre’s car.
Approaching the final phase of the battle, Gasly began to pull away from Bortoleto, who was already about 1 second behind and thus could not score points in this Sprint.
On lap 22 of the 24 scheduled, a light drizzle began to fall at certain points of the circuit.
At the checkered flag, then, on a slippery track, Bortoleto finished in the same position he started: ninth. In the Sprint race, only the top eight score points.
