Gabriel Bortoleto finished in 11th place in the Sprint race of the Miami GP of Formula 1. This Saturday (2), the driver managed to gain ground at the start, but finished in the same position he started the race.

For the sprint race, the Brazilian lined up in the sixth row in 11th. Who should have started alongside him was teammate Nico Hülkenberg, but with car problems, the German did not compete in the race.
Like the vast majority of drivers, Gabriel chose to start on the medium compound – there is no mandatory pit stop. The exceptions were Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas on hards and Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll on softs.
Start authorized on the street circuit of Hard Rock Stadium and the Audi driver managed to overtake Isack Hadjar and moved up to tenth place. It is worth remembering that only the top 8 score points in the Sprint.
The chase began on Franco Colapinto, ninth. The Alpine driver was just over 1.3 seconds ahead of the Audi Brazilian.

Shortly before halfway through the 19-lap race, Bortoleto was overtaken by Hadjar and dropped back to 11th, being 2 seconds behind the French Red Bull driver.
With ten laps completed in Miami, Bortoleto remained in the same position he had started. While he was 5.8 seconds behind Isack, he had a 2.2-second advantage over Oliver Bearman, 12th.
Gabriel was running a solitary race on the street circuit. In the battle, Esteban Ocon, the new 12th place, was not closing in on the Brazilian, who also maintained a distance from the opponent ahead of him.
Checkered flag and Bortoleto crossed the finish line in 11th place, just missing the top 10. The Brazilian returns to the track for the Miami GP qualifying at 5 p.m. Brasília time.
