Gabriel Bortoleto will start from ninth place in the Sprint race of the Dutch GP of Formula 1. In the qualifying on this Friday (21), he set a time of 1min12.583 to line up on the fifth row in Zandvoort.

The start of the Sprint race of the Dutch GP of Formula 1 takes place on Saturday, 22, at 7 am Brasília time.
SQ1
Unlike the single free practice earlier, the asphalt was dry and despite being shy, the sun was shining in the Dutch sky. The thermometer showed 20ºC, while the asphalt reached 36ºC and humidity was around 55%.
Clock started in Zandvoort and SQ1 authorized. In this first part of the Sprint qualifying, competitors were required to use the medium compound.
With just over 4 minutes to go in the first phase, the Audi driver was on track for his first fast lap. When he completed his attempt, he placed fifth with 1min13.730.
After SQ1 ended, Gabriel managed to advance without any problem to the next part of the time trial, occupying ninth position. The Brazilian was 0.719 seconds behind Charles Leclerc, the fastest.
SQ2
Timer started and 12 minutes for competitors to try to place themselves in the top 10 to go to SQ3. With almost five minutes elapsed, Bortoleto had not yet left the pits.

Gabriel left the Audi garage with just over 3 minutes to the checkered flag. Once again, drivers were required to use medium tires.
When he completed his attempt, the Brazilian placed eighth with 1min12.786. As drivers completed their attempts, he dropped to tenth position, securing the last spot for the final phase of the Sprint qualifying of F1 in the Netherlands – Nico Hülkenberg starts 14th.
SQ3
The last part of the time trial for the short race on Saturday started, but competitors remained in the pits. Five minutes remained on the clock and no fast lap had been set.
The first cars were on track accelerating, with Bortoleto and Pierre Gasly being the only two still stopped with 3 minutes to go. Shortly after, he went out and was on a warm-up lap.
On his final lap, then, he managed to place ninth and will start from the fifth row in the Sprint at Zandvoort.
