Gabriel Bortoleto finished the Hungarian F1 GP qualifying quite frustrated. This Saturday (25), the driver regretted the error he made during the session and is already focused on the race, which marks the last before the summer break.

The qualifying session was quite tumultuous for the Brazilian. In Q1, he made a mistake and had his lap canceled due to track limits; in Q2, a yellow flag ended up hindering his attempt at a fast lap.
As a result, the Audi driver will start only from 14th position, on the seventh row, at the Hungaroring. Speaking to SporTV after the F1 session, Bortoleto admitted the error during qualifying and highlighted the difficulty he has faced during the weekend.
“No, today is not about bad luck. I always say here, I’ve had great weekends, great qualifying sessions, but I’m always honest and today I didn’t deliver what I should have in my view. I think the whole weekend has been positive, but far from being an ideal weekend,” he told Julia Guimarães.

“I’ve changed the car a lot, in all practices, because I couldn’t feel very comfortable. At the beginning of qualifying it was even okay, but I don’t know if it was because I went off at turn 4 twice, the curb there is very aggressive, I don’t know if I had any damage to the car. We get out of the car and come straight here, I don’t know if we have that information, but what I can say is that in the last laps there was no grip,” he continued.
“Anyway, if there’s any damage, it’s my fault, I went off and lost the car. It hasn’t been an easy weekend in terms of how comfortable I am with the car. But at least I’m more comfortable with the race pace, but it will depend on tomorrow if we can make overtakes,” he concluded.
