Audi had two different outcomes in Saturday’s (25) Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 qualifying. While Nico Hülkenberg managed to reach Q3, Gabriel Bortoleto remained in Q2 at Hungaroring.

The German managed to advance to the final phase of qualifying and will line up from the fifth row of the grid after securing the tenth fastest time of the session. “I’m happy to be back in Q3 after a clean qualifying session. I think we made the most of everything we had today. That’s satisfying, even if the gap to the cars ahead was a bit bigger than we expected,” he said.
“It was very balanced throughout the weekend and the windy conditions made it difficult to find consistency, especially in the middle sector. Still, we executed well when it mattered, and starting in P10 gives us a solid foundation for tomorrow. Our long-run pace looked promising on Friday, so I hope we can challenge the cars around us and fight for points,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian had a more complicated qualifying session, making a mistake in Q1 and being hindered by a yellow flag in Q2. As a result, he will start only in 14th.
“It was a disappointing qualifying for me. I couldn’t put everything together and made some mistakes, so I didn’t make the most of the package we had today. We were in the top ten all weekend, so I think there was definitely more potential. Starting in 14th, tomorrow’s challenge will be greater, but we will do our best to move forward and see what we can achieve.”
