Adrian Newey, current team principal of Aston Martin, responded to rumors about a possible arrival of Christian Horner to the team in Formula 1.

The Briton, formerly of Red Bull, has been out of the paddock since his dismissal after the 2025 British GP, ending a 25-year partnership. Since then, he has been more discreet, despite numerous rumors involving a return to the sport.


Among the possible destinations is Aston Martin, resuming a very successful partnership with Newey. Speculations indicated that the designer would leave his role as team principal for Jonathan Wheatley to take over, but things calmed down. Now, it is Horner who is being linked to the team, with Adrian speaking out.

“Yes, I keep hearing these rumors about Christian,” he said.
“I can’t comment further. In fact, I don’t know anything about it. All I can say is that we are very happy with our senior management team. We can make some small adjustments, but we are very happy with the team we have at Aston Martin,” he added.
